I used my leadership and teamwork skills to organize and host a service project for Promise South Salt Lake.
As the team leader, I supported the project’s success by being the client liaison, recognizing strengths and potential for growth when delegating authority to team members, and ensuring all deadlines were met.
While planning the project, we encountered a policy change that derailed our original plan. I facilitated brainstorming with my team, mentors, and Promise South Salt Lake staff to reroute and solve the problem.
As a result, we hosted an Outdoor Activity Day with about 50 kids from a local elementary school in South Salt Lake. We provided snacks and various fun and educational activities for the kids.
