I used my leadership skills to put together a service project for Promise South Salt Lake.
As the team leader, I supported the project’s success by handling all client-team communication, coordinating meetings, and delegating authority to team members when appropriate. While planning the project, we encountered a policy change that derailed our original plan. I led brainstorming with my team, mentors, and Promise South Salt Lake staff to reroute and solve the problem.
As a result, my team was able to host an Outdoor Activity Day with about 50 kids from a local elementary school in South Salt Lake. We provided snacks and various fun and educational activities for the kids.
